Cirebon - The Cikopo-Palimanan Toll Road Management (Astra Infra Toll Road Cipali), West Java, said that around 24 thousand vehicles had crossed the toll road from Cirebon to Jakarta during the return flow of the 2025 Isra Mikraj-Chinese New Year holidays.
"Today, the density of the return flow on the route began to be seen at 14.00 WIB and continued until the afternoon," said Sustainability Management & Corporate Communications Dept. Head of Astra Tol Cipali Ardam Rafif Trisilo in Cirebon, West Java, Wednesday.
He said that despite the increase in vehicle volume, traffic on the Cipali Toll Road was seen to be busy and smooth.
According to him, in addition to the increase in traffic on the route to Jakarta, today it was also recorded that around 11 thousand vehicles passed through the toll road towards Cirebon.
Ardam said that the volume of vehicles heading to Jakarta is expected to continue to increase until tonight along with the end of the long holiday in January 2025.
"The increase in the return flow to Jakarta continues to occur, and we estimate it will continue until the evening," he said.
Furthermore, he said that during this long holiday period, namely from January 24 to 28, 2025, a total of 432 thousand vehicles had crossed the Cipali Toll Road.
He said the number of vehicles passing through during that period had increased by around 13 percent compared to the average normal daily traffic flow.
The party continues to monitor traffic conditions along the Cipali Toll Road, to ensure smooth travel for road users.
"In addition, we as toll road managers also put officers on standby at several points to anticipate potential congestion and provide assistance if needed," he said.
Ardam appealed to road users to ensure their vehicles are in prime condition before undertaking long journeys.
In addition to vehicle readiness, he also reminded drivers to maintain their physical condition to stay fit during the trip.
"Make sure to stay focused while driving and keep a safe distance from other vehicles to support safety during the trip," he said.
