The Israeli occupation continued its devastating aggression against the Gaza Strip for the 206th day, as its vehicles advanced, today, Sunday, towards the vicinity of “Kamal Adwan” Hospital after the siege of “Al-Awda” Hospital, and committed 8 massacres against Palestinian families, resulting in the death of 70 martyrs within 24 hours.
The Israeli occupation continued its devastating aggression against the Gaza Strip for the 206th day, as its vehicles advanced, today, Sunday, towards the vicinity of “Kamal Adwan” Hospital after the siege of “Al-Awda” Hospital, and committed 8 massacres against Palestinian families, resulting in the death of 70 martyrs within 24 hours.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that the death toll since October 7, 2023 had risen to 35,456 martyrs and 79,476 injured.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza explained that the Israeli occupation committed 8 massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, of which the bodies of 70 martyrs and 110 wounded arrived at hospitals during the last 24 hours.
The Ministry indicated that a number of victims are still under rubble and on the roads, and ambulance and civil defense crews are unable to reach them.
Eyewitnesses reported that Israeli military vehicles continued to advance towards the vicinity of Kamal Adwan Hospital in the town of Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip.
Witnesses reported that the occupation army has continued, since yesterday, Saturday, to bombard the hospital’s surroundings with artillery shells and warplanes.
Earlier on Sunday, the Palestinian Civil Defense Service in northern Gaza announced in a statement that the occupation army was firing artillery shells towards Al Awda Hospital in the Tal Al Zaatar area in the town of Jabalia.
He confirmed that Kamal Adwan Hospital, in the town of Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip, was out of service in light of the Israeli army’s threats and continuous bombing of the hospital’s surroundings.
Meanwhile, Al Awda Hospital announced, in a brief statement, that the occupation forces are besieging the hospital in Tal al-Zaatar, north of Gaza, and no one can receive treatment and health services.
The Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip and international organizations had previously warned of the Israeli army’s targeting of the health system in the Gaza Strip, and its repercussions on the wounded and sick Palestinians, while Tel Aviv ignored these warnings.
The Israeli occupation army began new incursions 8 days ago into Jabalia and some surrounding areas under heavy fire cover, targeting dozens of homes and infrastructure in the camp, which is inhabited by hundreds of thousands of residents and those displaced from the northern areas of the Gaza Strip.
On May 11, the Israeli army demanded that all residents and displaced persons in the areas of Jabalia, the neighborhoods of Al-Salam, Al-Nour, Tal Al-Zaatar, the Beit Lahia project, the Jabalia camp, Ezbet Milin, and the neighborhoods of Al-Rawda, Al-Nuzha, Al-Jarn, Al-Nahda, and Al-Zuhur be displaced “immediately,” and that they move toward “shelter” in areas west of Gaza City. .
Since last October 7, Israel has been waging a war on Gaza, which has left more than 114,000 dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and nearly 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that has claimed the lives of children and the elderly.
Israel continues the war despite the issuance of a resolution by the UN Security Council to stop the fighting immediately, and despite the International Court of Justice demanding immediate measures to prevent acts of “genocide” and improve the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
