AN AIRPORT worker has been crushed to death by a lift with horrified passengers hearing screams but unable to help.
Mechanic Wisatrat Tangsoh, 22, was working at the bottom of an elevator shaft when the two-tonne glass cabin came crashing down.
Shocked travellers heard cries of pain as they passed by but were helpless as the horror unfolded at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport.
Asian Elevator Co staff rushed to the scene, finding Wisatrat’s crushed body in a pool of blood at the base of the shaft.
It’s believed he descended to the bottom to collect a wrench.
But Wisatrat faced his horror fate when the lift slowly began descending.
