Aleph Zero Joins CAMARA Foundation, Integrating Blockchain With Global Telecommunications Standards

Aleph Zero, a fast and scalable blockchain ecosystem, is proud to join the CAMARA Foundation as a General Member to help develop standardized blockchain API for the industry.

According to the Aleph Zero team, the project joins over 230 companies working with the CAMARA Project as the first blockchain organization. These companies include Vodafone, stc, Telefónica, Deutsche Telekom, and 650 individual participants.

As a General Member, Aleph Zero will help integrate advanced blockchain technology with global telecommunication standards. This move will particularly help advance Decentralized Identifiers (DIDs).

This collaboration will focus on the Blockchain Public Address API, which is designed to change how users interact with blockchain using their mobile devices. Notably, using its expertise in zero-knowledge proofs and privacy-preserving, Aleph Zero will join CAMARA to further develop and refine the different blockchain-related solutions within the CAMARA ecosystem.

Commenting on the collaboration, Antoni Zolciak, co-founder at Aleph Zero, stated:

“The integration of blockchain technology into mainstream infrastructure is accelerating at an unprecedented rate. Forward-thinking organizations across various sectors are recognizing the transformative potential of distributed ledger technologies. We’re looking forward to collaborating with various members of the Foundation and contributing to the telecommunications APIs from a blockchain standpoint.”

Launched in 2021 under the GSMA and Linux Foundation, the CAMARA Project seeks to create standardized APIs for telecommunications networks. CAMARA is one of the largest telecommunication organizations designed to provide seamless access to network capabilities across different operators and countries. The team behind the project accomplishes this by simplifying network complexities and harmonizing APIs through fast and agile working code with developer-friendly documentation. The Blockchain Public Address API, launched in June 2023, is at the core of these efforts.

Aleph Zero is a layer 1 ecosystem that boasts an EVM L2, a WASM L1, ZK-privacy proving times, and sub-second transaction times that come together to solve the challenges of Web3. Aleph Zero’s goal is to make it possible for SMBs and enterprises to communicate at a rate close to what they would normally expect with regular internet communication while enjoying the benefits of decentralization.

Just recently, Aleph Zero launched its exceptionally fast and efficient blockchain, EVM-layer, on the Ethereum network. The EVM layer boasts up to 250 milliseconds with near-instant transactional finality. This launch attests to Aleph Zero’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of blockchain technology. Notably, Aleph Zero’s versatility is highlighted by over 40 use cases actively being developed across various sectors and applications.
