The Russian “Lancet” drone is training to recognize the target and attack it independently

The American newspaper "Forbes" said that providing the Russian "Lancet" suicide drone with artificial intelligence made it capable of independently identifying the target and attacking it without human intervention.

The newspaper added that artificial intelligence has made the drone more effective and lethal than it was. There are two advantages to “Lantsit,” according to the newspaper. The first is that the drone can work faster and more safely, compared to its human operator, and the second advantage is to continue working even if contact with the operator is lost due to hostile interference.

The newspaper reported that the smart suicide drones will rely less on reconnaissance marches, and will be used by special forces personnel to hit targets of importance, such as missile platforms, cannons, air defense radars, etc.

A report presented by the British RUSI Defense Center stated: “Whoever has a greater number of independent smart drones will win the war. If Russia understands the use of smart drones to hit targets on the battlefield, the Ukrainians will pay a heavy price and lose the war.”
