The fall, which occurred in the Canal Roya, has stopped the resort from operating due to the horror incident.

The exact number of injured is currently unknown, but sources suggest there may be roughly 10 people who are being transferred mainly to the San Jorge Hospital in Huesca.

Hospitals in Zaragoza have also received an alert due to the seriousness of the chair lift collapse, local media reports.

The President of the Government of Aragon, Jorge Azcón, and the Minister of the Interior, Roberto Bermúdez de Castro, are on their way to the ski resort to understand the extent of the accident.
