- Binance has picked four memecoins, including MUBARAK, BROCCOLI, TUT, and BANANA, for listing on its Spot Market.
- The exchange will apply seed tags to the listed tokens pointing to high-risk assets and conduct assessments every 90 days.
Binance has officially released the results of its Vote to List program, showing the four tokens selected for spot trading. These tokens, MUBARAK, BROCCOLI, TUT, and BANANA, are all memecoins with growing communities. The move follows a careful assessment process that includes community votes, token performance, and risk analysis.
Binance Vote to List Results
Following the end of Binance’s Vote to List initiative, the exchange will begin listing four memecoins on its spot trading platform. The tokens selected include MUBARAK, BROCCOLI, TUT, and BANANA, which were selected as the winners of the program based on votes received from the Binance community.
According to Binance, MUBARAK, with 8,251 votes, topped the list, followed by BROCCOLI, TUT, and BANANA. Despite a strong display, CreatorBid (BID) fell down after further review. In the same review, the Pi Network was removed from the Vote to List process, as Binance restricted eligible projects to those on the BNB Smart Chain Network.
These tokens will be moved from Binance Alpha, a pre-listing pool, to the Spot Market, where trading pairs such as MUBARAK/USDT and BANANA/USDT will be available. Trading for these tokens is planned to begin on March 27, 2025, at 21:00 UTC, and users can start depositing the tokens one hour before that time. Withdrawals will be available starting March 28, 2025, at 21:00 UTC.
The vote to list announcement follows the recent Vote to Delist feature, allowing users to vote on removing tokens from its platform as noted in our last piece. According to our report, tokens in the Monitoring Zone, such as JasmyCoin and Zcash, are under review. Apart from the review, Binance announced the delisting of five cryptocurrencies which include AERGO, AST, BURGER, COMBO, and LINA due to issues like liquidity and security.
Evaluation Process and Seed Tags for High-Risk Tokens
Each of the four memecoins has been deeply examined by Binance’s team to ensure they meet specific conditions. This includes factors such as previous token performance, community engagement, and trading demand. Furthermore, the final decision to list the tokens also considered their performance on Binance Alpha and other exchanges.
However, Binance will apply seed tags to the listed tokens as part of its risk management strategy. Tokens with seed tags are considered high-risk and subject to higher volatility. This is to ensure users are fully informed of the possible risks before trading these assets. Binance has also introduced essential tests every 90 days for users wishing to trade seed-tagged tokens on its Spot and Margin platforms.
Binance has clearly said that those included in the batch will see more reviews of their performance. While the picked memecoins will be traded, other projects from the Vote to List event will still be under consideration for a potential listing as well. Binance noted that their evaluation, community support, and market performance will determine the long-term potential of the project.
