A BIZARRE design for a £400million superyacht shaped like a giant swan includes a retractable “head” and a viewing deck “beak”.

Dubbed the “Avanguardia”, the 449ft sea titan is set to revolutionise the luxury vessel market.

The Avanguardia proposal makes it once of the most unique yacht designs in the world

Drawn up by Italian designer Lazzarini, the superyacht will be shaped like a swan.

The control tower will positioned inside the “head”, which is set to be detachable from the “neck”.

Once detached, it can be transformed into an auxiliary 52ft boat once lowered down to the waters edge.

As a result, the top part of the superyacht then becomes an auxiliary control tower.

To the rear of the vessel, a personal port for two jet capsules can be attached to the structure and act as an auxiliary source of propulsion.

Directly below, you will find two helicopters in their separate hangars, while directly above you will find the helicopter landing pads.

Also below are garages to store cars onboard.

With five decks on the boat, there is room for up to 60 passengers, with accommodation provided for 24 guests, 12 staff and ten crew.

On either side of the superyacht there are twin fully-electric engines, while a central MTU Rolls-Royce engine will enable the yacht to reach a maximum cruising speed of 18 knots (20.7mph).

But as you can imagine, this project will not be cheap.

While it remains just a concept, Lazzarini claims a client is willing to invest $500million (approximately £394million) in the construction of the bird-like vessel.

But once built, it would quite literally blow everything else out of the water.

A luxury 90ft electric superyacht dubbed the “world’s most eco-friendly” has been unveiled.

The Sialia 80 Explorer is also tipped to blow other boats out the water with its ability to travel the world in complete silence, powered by state-of-the-art electric propellers.

And a new 230ft superyacht is set to be built that focuses on giving guests an elegant five star wellness experience out at sea.

The fancy boat dubbed a “floating spa” comes with a beautiful infinity pool, state of the art gym, massage room, plunge pool and six luxury suites to live in.
