BlackRock Hits Record $10.6 Trillion in Assets Fueled by ETF Flows

  • BlackRock has achieved a record $10.6 trillion in assets under management.
  • BlackRock is now the largest public holder of BTC via its IBIT, with holdings surpassing 316,000 BTC.

BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager, has reported a strong performance in the second quarter with assets under management (AUM) climbing to a staggering $10.6 trillion.

This marks a nearly 13% increase from the previous year. Further, earnings per share (EPS) also saw growth, rising to $9.99 from $9.06, while revenue increased by 8% to $4.8 billion. 

The firm recorded a total net inflow of $81.57 billion, slightly surpassing last year’s $80.16 billion, with exchange-traded funds (ETFs) leading the charge with $83 billion in inflows

Notably, BlackRock has solidified its position in the cryptocurrency market as the largest public holder of bitcoin through its iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) ETF, which now holds more than 316,276 BTC, highlighting its strategic focus on digital assets amid broader market dynamics.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin traded at $62,644 with a market cap of $1.24 trillion. The current intra-day trading level of BTC is the highest in the past two weeks.
