However, due to some changes in the screenplay, it got delayed to September 6, 2024, and then moved again because of strikes by the Writers Guild of America (WGA) and Screen Actors Guild‐American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA).

These strikes halted the project, causing further delays from its initial dates of February 14, 2025, and September 6, 2024. With the strikes now resolved, the movie is finally set to be in theaters on November 7, 2025.

Who Are The Major Cast Members In Blade?

In 2019, Mahershala Ali, the famous actor was announced to play the character Blade, known as the daywalker, at San Diego Comic-Con. He made a quick voice appearance in Marvel’s Eternals. Wesley Snipes was the previous actor to portray Blade in three movies from the 1990s, ending with Blade Trinity.

After Ali’s casting, there have been more exciting announcements about who will join the cast now. Delroy Lindo, an award-winning actor, will also feature in the film, though his role hasn’t been disclosed yet. Aaron Pierre is another addition to the cast with an undisclosed role.

Recently, Mia Goth has been announced as the newest addition to the cast. Yann Demange is set to direct the reboot, and it’s confirmed to be rated R. He’s best known for directing the first episode of HBO’s Lovecraft Country.

Michael Green, who got an Oscar nomination for his work on the Logan script, is the writer of the movie. As of February 2024, the movie is scheduled for a 2025 release with a production budget of less than $100 million, which is notably lower than the costs of previous Marvel Cinematic Universe films.
