Boeing to raise inspections on 737-Max post Alaska Airlines blow out

Boeing informed staff on Monday that it intends to expand quality inspections of its 737 Max 9 aircraft, following the failure of an emergency exit door panel on an Alaska Airlines flight last week. The inspections follow the grounding of the 737 Max by federal authorities, and Boeing has stated that the Alaska Airlines flight and customer complaints make it "clear that we are not where we need to be" in terms of quality assurance and control.
