  • Code4rena and Polkadot Assurance Legion (PAL) are introducing a competitive and collaborative approach to security audits within the Polkadot ecosystem.
  • PAL is subsidizing Rust audits for selected parachains to make security more accessible for builders within the ecosystem, fostering best-in-class security practices.

In a groundbreaking initiative, Code4rena and the Polkadot Assurance Legion (PAL) are revolutionizing the conventional security audit process by turning it into a competitive arena for collaboration.

The methodology is both straightforward and efficient: Projects actively participate by contributing to a reward pool. On the other hand, Code4rena (C4) takes charge of leading the audit, while a dedicated community of experts engages in a thorough hunt for potential vulnerabilities.

This innovative approach further aims to enhance security measures within the Polkadot ecosystem and marks a significant step forward in ensuring the integrity and resilience of projects associated with the platform.

Bolstering Security In Polkadot Ecosystem

The Code4rena community is gearing up for a series of auditing opportunities that promise to enhance the safety and appeal of projects built on Polkadot.

The Polkadot Assurance Legion (PAL) has embarked on a mission to contribute to the security infrastructure by subsidizing Rust audits for selected parachains. By covering a portion of the auditing costs, PAL aims to make security more accessible and comprehensive for builders within the Polkadot ecosystem.

The C4 x PAL partnership, set to commence on February 2nd, 2024, marks a significant milestone in this concerted effort to fortify the Polkadot network. PAL has rallied several prominent projects on Polkadot to undergo audits on Code4rena, featuring HydraDX with a $100,500 prize pool starting on February 2nd, Phala with a $60,500 prize pool starting on March 1st, and Acala with a $52,000 prize pool starting on March 22nd.

In recognition of the crucial role audits play in identifying vulnerabilities before they become exploitable, PAL has also chosen to subsidize these audits through Code4rena. The gamified system employed by Code4rena fosters rigorous evaluations, encouraging auditors to creatively uncover rare, high-risk vulnerabilities.

Through this collaboration, PAL also aims to establish best-in-class security practices across the Polkadot ecosystem, ensuring a robust and secure environment for builders and users alike.

Empowering Polkadot With Manta Network

Manta Network, a key participant in the Polkadot ecosystem, has achieved a noteworthy feat by unveiling a smooth token bridge connecting its primary chains, Manta Atlantic and Manta Pacific.

This achievement marks a significant step forward in promoting interoperability and accessibility within the Manta Network ecosystem. Users can now seamlessly transfer assets and engage in diverse activities across both Manta Atlantic and Manta Pacific chains. Notably, Manta Pacific, serving as the modular Layer 2 ecosystem for EVM-native ZK applications and dApps, emphasizes low gas fees and an enhanced user experience.
