Borderless Capital expands for better value generation in the digital asset industry by combining AI and quant skills under one roof.
For an unknown sum, Borderless Capital, a cutting-edge Web3 investment management company, has announced the acquisition of CTF Capital, a renowned asset management and quantitative trading organization with headquarters in Miami and Latin America. By adding AI-driven strategies and cutting-edge quant trading techniques to its suite, this acquisition represents a strategic move for Borderless Capital. It also represents the company’s entry into the developing LatAm market, which is already heavily exposed through its investors and portfolio companies.
With this acquisition, all currently operating CTF capital-managed funds are combined with Borderless Capital Multi-Strategy Fund V LP. This open-ended hedge fund was established earlier this year with $100 million under management and focused on producing risk-adjusted maximum returns for investors in both liquid and soon-to-be digital assets. Furthermore, Borderless Capital oversees the management of five Venture Funds, totalling over half a billion dollars in assets, emphasising important areas like DePIN, Ecosystem Funds, and Cross-Chain interoperability. The eleven-person CTF Capital team, which currently includes two partners, is a member of the Borderless Capital team and its affiliate network of businesses. Borderless Capital maintains its leadership position as this industry changes by promoting technology innovation, value creation, and efficient capital allocation in the digital asset market.
David Garcia, Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Borderless Capital, said:
“We are extremely excited to join forces with the CTF team and bring new skills, new expertise, new investors and new team members to the Borderless Capital, positioning our firm for the next phase of growth, in a time of when institution and large organization are driving the market adoption and validating this asset class. The CTF Capital team competences are very synergic and complementary to Borderless Capital and will allow us to provide a better service to our investors base and group of portfolio companies,”
With teams located in Latin America for operations and technology, CTF Capital has its headquarters in Miami. The company adds significant advantages and strengths to Borderless as a quantitative crypto asset investment manager developing state-of-the-art trading models and capabilities in automated market making (AMM), MEV strategies, and a unique AI & ML Strategy Engine.
Brian Prilick, former CEO of CTF Capital, now Partner at Borderless Capital, said:
“We are very excited and proud to be partnering up with Borderless Capital. This will give us the possibility to join forces and leverage our strengths as a group. The integration between CTF Capital and Borderless Capital will help us scale the business in terms of volume and product development, ultimately translating into better returns, investment allocation and risk management.”
With intentions to open a new office in Argentina in early Q2 and use it as its headquarters for expanding the LatAm markets, Borderless Capital is expanding its global reach going forward and hoping to capitalize on the fast-expanding Web3 industry in the area. To improve its services for investors and founders, the company is also creating new products.
