Netflix has released two new Bridgerton Season 3 sections as part of a compilation video celebrating what’s coming for the streaming service in 2024.
The sneak peek highlights Colin and Penelope’s love story, which will differ greatly from the Bridgerton family’s past loves.
Because their dynamic has shifted more solidly from friendship to love, the pair is experimenting with what it could look like to be open about their romantic interest in one another. The delicate balance of their chemistry will be messed up, ending in a far more arduous courtship than the previous two seasons.
Bridgerton Season 3 | Official Trailer
The Bridgerton Season 3 trailer shows Penelope complimenting Colin’s eyes, describing them as “the finest shade of blue,” before uncomfortably withdrawing her indicative comment.
The whole Netflix upcoming series also includes a video during a montage at the beginning that shows Colin approaching Penelope, who seems to have been crying recently.
Bridgerton fans have been eager to know what the future holds for Penelope Featherington & Colin Bridgerton after an awful tragedy in the previous season when Penelope overheard him talking poorly about her.
The official logline for Season 3 mentions that Penelope has “decided it’s time to take a husband, preferably someone who will provide her with enough freedom to continue her dual life as Lady Whistledown, miles away from her mother and sisters.” However, because of a lack of confidence, Penelope’s chances at marriage backfire awfully.
This, in turn, confuses Colin because he “has returned from his summer’s travels with a new look & a serious air of swagger… he’s disheartened when he finds out that Penelope, the one person who typically appreciated him as he was, has been giving him the cold shoulder.”
Viewers will see their relationship blossoming this season as Colin promises to teach Penelope the arts of confidence and help her find a husband. But when his lessons begin to work too well, Colin must decide if his emotions for Penelope are platonic.

The Cast and Crew of Bridgerton Season 3.
The majority of Bridgerton’s beloved cast members will return for season three, including Nicola Coughlan as Penelope Hetherington, Luke Thompson as Benedict Bridgerton, Ruth Gemmell as Violet Bridgerton, Luke Newton as Colin Bridgerton, Claudia Jessie as Eloise Bridgerton, Adjoa Andoh as Lady Danbury, and Golda Rosheuvel as Queen Charlotte.
Given that this is Penelope’s season, the Featheringtons will likely play a big part, with Polly Walker reprising her role as Lady Featherington. The legendary storyteller, Julie Andrews, will also reprise her role as Lady Whistledown.
Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) & Kate (Simone Ashley) will also return for Bridgerton season 3 as they adjust to their new life as viscount and viscountess.
Season 1 breakthrough star Phoebe Dynevor, who portrays oldest daughter Daphne Bridgerton, has regrettably announced that she will not be back for season 3; however, she has left the door open for future roles.
Netflix has also unveiled three new characters who will appear on the show, including Daniel Francis as Marcus Anderson, Sam Phillips as Lord Debling, and James Phoon as Harry Dankworth. According to reports, all three are possible new suitors for Penelope and Colin to compete with.
The following season will be divided into two halves. The first portion, consisting of four episodes, is set to be released on May 16, 2024, while the second part, composed of four episodes, will be released nearly a month later, on June 13.
