Brit girl, 6, drowns in Tenerife swimming pool on family holiday after ‘lifeguard clocked off from shift’

A BRITISH girl has drowned in a pool at a hotel in Tenerife.

The six-year-old – who has not been named – was reportedly pulled from the water 50 minutes after a lifeguard had clocked off.

Cops have launched an investigation into her death on May 9 at Granada Park Aparthotel in Los Cristianos.

Investigators are reportedly probing where the girl’s parents were at the time – and why there was no lifeguard at the pool.

According to Canarian Weekly, the lifeguard clocked off at 6pm and the youngster was found in the water at 6.50pm.
