A BRITISH holidaymaker has been arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a woman at a Costa del Sol hotel.
The 27-year-old man was taken into custody after the woman said she was attacked at a luxury hotel in Puerto Banus near Marbella.
The woman alleges the attack took place at a luxury hotel in Marbella[/caption]The hotel has not been named.
She alleged the sexual assault occurred during an impromptu party with friends they had met at a nearby beach club.
The woman, thought to be in her mid 20s, was taken to hospital to be examined by a doctor.
The suspect was arrested shortly afterwards.
Cops have not yet made any official comment.
It was not immediately clear this morning if the Brit man has already appeared in court and whether he has been remanded in custody or released on bail pending an ongoing investigation.
Earlier this month an RAF serviceman was arrested in Majorca after a Brit accused him of raping her at a four-star Magaluf hotel.
He was released and allowed to fly back to the UK.
But he remains under investigation, after his female accuser failed to ratify her police complaint in front of a judge.
