It then chomped down on the unsuspecting woman’s arm – prompting her partner to quickly put their foot on the gas to escape.
The woman was rushed to a hospital after the terrifying encounter on Monday in the Transfăgărășan mountain road in Argeş County, southern Romania.
She told local media: “We were in the car and we were going to take a picture.
“And the bears came up to the window.”
Doctors have since confirmed that the woman’s injuries are not life-threatening.
In her hospital bed and with a sore arm, the tourist added: “I just wanted to take a picture of him [the bear].”
And she managed to get an impressive snap as it captured the bear incredibly up close with one of its giant paws inside the car.
Following the attack, cops were said to have split into several teams to drive the bears away from the area, What’s the Jam reports.
They also advised residents and tourists to always keep a safe distance when coming across animals in the wild.
It comes after two gas-drilling workers miraculously walked away alive from a savage brown bear attack.
The pair suffered serious injuries, including arm lacerations and an exposed skull.
They were seen wrestling with the wild beast in a horrific mauling that was captured on film.
A man behind the camera shouted a warning to the workers: “Everybody run away!”
In a chilling moment, the witness later said: “[The bear] ate him.”
Two men, reportedly named Eldar Gareev, 39, and Ivan Bulashenko, 46, were in the smoking room of their plant when they saw a pack of dogs chasing something.
The bear then emerged from behind bags of chemicals and one of the men, a mechanic, opened the door to chase it away.
Some 20 minutes after the attacks, a local hunter arrived at the request of the gas facility workers and shot the animal.
Both men received first aid at the site and were airlifted to hospital.
Meanwhile, a woman was left dead and many more injured after two separate bear attacks just hours apart in Slovakia.
Horror footage showed a bear running through a Slovak town’s streets while lunging at a man on the pavement.
In the heart-stopping clip, a pedestrian escapes the furious beast just in time by climbing over a fence.
But five other residents – not seen in the clip – weren’t as lucky and had to receive medical treatment for their wounds in hospital.
Just hours earlier, a woman was killed in a separate bear attack in the Low Tatra Mountains.
The victim, 31, was hiking through the Demanovska Valley with her male friend, 29, when the pair ran into the predator.
