  • Supported by major travel companies, Camino Network leverages blockchain to decentralize and innovate the travel industry.

On September 30, 2024, Camino Network, based in Zug, Switzerland, announced a strategic integration with Fireblocks, an enterprise platform renowned for its management of digital asset operations. This partnership aims to connect Camino Network users with over 2,000 liquidity providers, trading venues, and counterparties within the Fireblocks Network.

Camino Network operates as a Layer-1 blockchain ecosystem, specifically tailored for the travel industry. It supports various travel-related products and use cases through decentralized applications, including a hotel booking platform named Sleap. Prominent global travel firms such as TUI, Lufthansa, and Sixt are part of over 200 companies that have joined the Camino Network, signaling a shift towards decentralized solutions within the travel sector.

Fireblocks contributes a secure infrastructure for the movement, storage, and issuance of digital assets, having successfully secured the transfer of over $6 trillion in digital assets. The integration with Fireblocks will facilitate wider distribution and use of Camino Network’s native CAM token, reinforcing trust among travel industry operators in adopting Web3 technologies.

Thomas Stirnimann, Council President of Camino Network, expressed the increasing demand for a secure custodial solution for CAM token holders. By partnering with Fireblocks, Camino Network gains access to a broad network of crypto exchanges and trading partners, enhancing its trading infrastructure.

Camino Network’s CAM token is on the brink of launch following a robust seed financing round and pre-sale that raised over 8.8 million Swiss francs (CHF). The token’s primary functions within the network include facilitating transactions, incentivizing validator participation, addressing business-to-business distribution challenges, and promoting the adoption of Web3 technologies in the travel industry.

Additionally, several partners within the ecosystem are already offering incentives for CAM token holders, such as discounts and loyalty programs.

Richard Astle, VP of Business Development at Fireblocks Network, noted that the integration enables Camino Network’s users to access a significant digital trading ecosystem, advancing the global Web3 travel ecosystem.

He added:

“By leveraging the Fireblocks Network, Camino Network’s users will be able to seamlessly access the most connected digital trading ecosystem on the market with over 2,000 institutional counterparties and further elevate the global web3 travel ecosystem.”

Camino Network is redefining connectivity and distribution in the multibillion-dollar travel industry, supported by a consortium of industry leaders and backed by substantial funding and brand partnerships.
