- As part of its revamp, the Aragon Foundation has announced a new Strategic Council, led by reputable builders from the Ethereum ecosystem, including Polygon founder Sandeep Nailwal.

Deploying a DAO was once an arduous task that required dozens of experts to build and maintain the platform. Over the years, this has changed, and Aragaon has been at the forefront of this revolution. Aragon is now undergoing a revamp, announcing a new leadership group that includes Polygon founder Sandeep Nailwal.
The all-new Aragon Foundation launched this week. The team announced on Thursday that the new organization would now be governed by a Steering Council “of reputable builders from across the Ethereum ecosystem, focused on empowering developers to build blockchain infrastructure and applications for governance.”

The new Council will define the Foundation’s strategy, decide on whom to allocate funds for development and guide builders deploying their applications on Aragon. It will also be the beacon of the decentralization of the ecosystem, holding users true to the values of on-chain governance, which include end-to-end verifiability, minimization of trust, and neutrality.
The council members are Sacha, the head of research at Lido; Francesco, the co-founder of Blockchain Lawyers Group; Adrian CV, the co-founder of Steakhouse Finance and head of finance at Lido DAO; Paul, a lecturer at the University College Dublin; and Sandeep Nailwal, the founder of Polygon, the most popular Ethereum Layer-2 scaling solution.
Commenting on his inclusion in the new Strategic Council, Nailwal said he’s proud to play a part in the future of Aragon and “its wider impact on the Ethereum ecosystem.”

The other members also expressed their elation at being part of one of the most strategically important projects in the crypto space. Sacha, who heads research at Lido, commented:
I hope that, as part of the council, I can work with like-minded people to help champion bringing Aragon to those within Ethereum, and to those less acquainted with the Ethereum ecosystem; to create and accelerate the distribution of a tool that makes it as easy as possible for everyone to accomplish their wildest dreams regarding social structures and organizations, and to cement Ethereum’s role at the frontier of decentralized governance.
Adrian CV, the Steakhouse Financial founder, described his inclusion in the Council as “a fundamentally optimistic mission.”
“Technology and all its raw power is, in and of itself, indifferent to whether people use it for good or for evil. I believe that its greatest potential to improve mankind can be realized if channeled in ways that maintain individual sovereignty and improve collaboration between people,” he added.
