  • SuperRare’s integration of Chainlink’s CCIP enables secure cross-chain transfers of the RARE token between Ethereum and Base.
  • Chainlink’s CCIP boosts SuperRare’s scalability, offering lower fees and secure interoperability across multiple ecosystems.

By integrating Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), SuperRare has significantly advanced the use value of its RARE coin.

This integration seeks to guarantee token transfers across Layer 2 blockchain Ethereum and Base. Particularly for customers switching away from Ethereum because of high gas prices, SuperRare’s larger plan to boost scalability and lower transaction fees includes the choice to include CCIP.

With the extra feature of safe cross-chain transactions enabled by Chainlink’s decentralized oracle network, users may now interact with RARE more effectively by using the lower costs provided by Base.

Enhancing RARE Token Functionality with Cross-Chain Flexibility

This integration is driven mostly by improving the functionality of the RARE token. SuperRare is giving its customers more freedom while preserving the security inherent in Chainlink’s distributed architecture by letting tokens be transferred between Ethereum and Base.

Thanks to a lock-and-mint method, users of CCIP can easily migrate their tokens across the two ecosystems. Tokens locked on Ethereum mint corresponding tokens on Base, and vice versa.

This guarantees that current Ethereum token holders maintain complete functioning without any negative effect, in addition to helping RARE flourish on several platforms.

Using Chainlink’s anti-fraud policies and decentralized security standards, the Rare Bridge’s deployment accentuates the advantages even more.

This guarantees that attacks cannot access any cross-chain transaction and that they are tamper-proof. SuperRare may now access a larger market, especially in the NFT arena, and draw developers who might like to test new decentralized applications (dApps) based on RARE.

Concurrent with this, the platform’s great compatibility with Ethereum’s ecosystem and increasing acceptance among the on-chain artists drove the movement to incorporate Base as the first Layer-2 solution. For SuperRare, the opportunity to use Base’s lower costs without compromising Ethereum’s security makes this change very enticing.

Not only for SuperRare but for many other blockchain initiatives, Chainlink’s CCIP is also demonstrating to be a major enabler of cross-chain innovation. DeFi, gaming, and NFT platforms may scale across several ecosystems while keeping safe and dependable token transfers thanks to the interoperability CCIP presents.

On the other hand, as we previously reported on CNF, Web3 Shield has joined Chainlink’s Build program to improve on-chain insurance products and support ecosystem expansion. Their close interaction with Chainlink CCIP guarantees strong multi-chain capabilities and safe cross-chain transactions.

Meanwhile, LINK is swapped hands about $11.57 at the time of writing, marking a 3.00% rise over the last 24 hours with daily trading volume of $198.01 million.
