The backlash from Alabama Sen. Katie Britt's Republican response to President Joe Biden's State of the Union address is not going away. Even Turning Point USA's Charlie Kirk called out Britt's performance, saying, "So they decided, hey, let's go put Katie Britt in a kitchen and have her act as if she's a C-level replacement actress for a Netflix special," he said. Kirk noted that Republicans want to win over support from suburban women, but he needs to talk to his hero, Donald Trump, because he's doing it wrong, too. It is fun to watch them squirm, though, with each blunder.
"There's been a lot said in the last couple of days of how do we win over suburban women," Kirk said. "The Katie Britt attempt at her State of the Union response was well-intentioned."
"The intention was, of course, how do we win over suburban women who might be center-right in their policy beliefs, center-right in their philosophical disposition, but they keep on voting for Democrats," he continued. "So they decided, hey, let's go put Katie Britt in a kitchen and have her act as if she's a C-level replacement actress for a Netflix special. And it's amazing."
"If you look at Katie Britt, actually how she talks and how Katie Britt spoke on camera, it was a mockery," he said. "In fact, CNN, SNL made a mockery of the entire deal. "
