The snarling tyrant, 72, held a deathly stare as he replied to the brave journalist with a furious tirade.

Granted the last question at the event, the BBC‘s Steve Rosenberg pressed Putin on how he can justify the war and continued conflict.
Throughout the summit Putin had preached about justice, regional stability and security to help create a fairer world for everyone.
Rosenberg directly put to the dictator that his actions over the past few years completely go against the BRICS main aim set out by Vlad himself.
He asked Putin: “How does this all match your actions of the past two and a half years?
“The invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine – where is the justice, stability and security?”
Before quizzing the Russian leader on how he has allowed for his own country to be decimated by the war and hundreds of thousands of lives lost.
Putin – who had been jovial throughout the prior questions – quickly returned to his nasty tough act as he started to scribble down notes.
Once Rosenberg wrapped up his truthful grilling Putin took a deep breath, clasped his hands together and locked eyes with the BBC ace.
He responded with his usual rhetoric by blasting the West and Nato.
Saying: “Is it fair that for years our constant appeals for (Western) partners not to expand Nato to the East have been ignored?
“Is it fair to lie to our face, promising that there will be no such expansion and violating their obligations and their promises to do that.”
A now fuming Vlad then shifted the blame on to the US as he accused them of orchestrating and financing a Ukrainian coup a decade ago.
Saying the coup had disregarded international law and the UN charter.
He then went back on a scathing rant about the West claiming Russia feels there has been “no justice” for those at the top trying to expand Nato.
A steely-faced Rosenberg then followed up with a second question.
He asked Putin about recent MI5 claims that alleges Russia has been “wrecking havoc” on British streets.
The tyrant let out a slight smile before labelling the claims as “utter rubbish” and refusing to say anymore.
What is the BRICS summit?
THE BRICS summit is a meeting of allied nations first founded in 2009.
Originally it only included Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
It has since expanded to welcome applications from Iran, Egypt, Ethiopia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia. Turkey, Azerbaijan and Malaysia.
Alongside Putin, some of the other biggest names present at this year’s summit included China’s President Xi Jinping and India’s PM Narendra Modi.
It was started up as a global investment event between nations exiled from Western meets.
It soon evolved into a geopolitical bloc seemingly led by Russia and Putin.
There have been 16 summits so far.
At the 2024 summit Putin touched on a range of topics such as Donald Trump and the upcoming US election.
He also refused to confirm or deny if North Korean troops were working alongside Russian fighters.
The summit covered the financial cooperation of nations with Putin trying to focus on developing an alternative payment system to the West to stop them from dominating the market.
With one of the biggest talking points seeing Vlad calling for the end of the war in the Middle East.
The Kremlin announced the summit was the largest foreign policy event ever held by Russia.
It comes as billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk has reportedly been holding regular secret talks with Putin.
Vlad has lent on the SpaceX chief for his pal and ally Xi Jinping – the leader of China – with the Russian tyrant asking for a chilling favour.
The dictators have drawn closer together as part of an “Axis of Evil” that seeks to push back on democracy and the West.
Putin asked Musk to not approve the use of Starlink for Taiwan as a favour to Xi last year, the Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported.
Musk has previous history with Starlink and Putin after he switched it off in Ukraine a few months into Russia’s invasion.
He had already donated tens of thousands of terminals to Ukraine and spoken out in support of the country.
But his views appeared to sour and he prevented the Ukrainians from using terminals to guide sea drones to attack Crimea and in offensive operations over fears of nuclear war.
