'China is the winner' in Maldives parliamentary elections

President Mohamed Muizzu of the Maldives celebrated a significant victory in the parliamentary elections, securing 67 out of 93 seats for his People's National Congress (PNC). This landslide victory not only provides his party with a two-thirds supermajority but also the support of five allied legislators. This shift in power is anticipated to advance a number of Beijing-funded and Chinese-built projects.
