MADELEINE McCann suspect Christian B allegedly abducted another child only days before the Brit youngster vanished, new charges reveal.
The 47-year-old German paedophile, who will stand trial in Germany next month, is accused of snatching a child from a beach and sexually assaulting her in 2007.
Prosecutors allege that Christian B snatched and assaulted a child from a beach only days before the Brit tot went missing[/caption]Sexual predator Christian B has been accused of a string of depraved sex crimes against women and children, including multiple rapes.
He is already serving a seven-year prison term in Germany for rape and drug trafficking.
He will be tried for five separate attacks that took place across Europe between 2000 and 2017.
Today, court documents revealed allegations that in April, 2007 Christian B lay in wait for a child on the beach – only days before Madeleine Mccann vanished.
Prosecutors allege that the suspect snatched the child at around 3.30pm before forcing her to perform sex acts on him.
Christian B is the prime suspect in the disappearance of Madeleine who went missing aged three years-old from a family holiday on the Algarve in May 2007,
For the past five years, German authorities have been investigating him in connection with Madeleine’s disappearance – but he has not been charged.
The court docs also reveal another alleged attack that involves a 14-year-old girl who was said to be tied to a post in his rented home in Portugal.
Christian B is accused of beating her with a whip and forcing her to perform sexual acts on him – allegedly recording the sickening assault on his video camera.
The alleged attack – which took place at some point between December, 2000 and April, 2006 – is claimed to have taken place less than a mile from where Madeleine later went missing in the resort of Praia da Luz.
According to official court filings, the most recent accusation is from 2017.
On June 11 of that year, at around 2am, Christian B is said to have made “eye contact” with a young boy in a playground at a folk festival.
He then allegedly exposed his genitals and began “pleasuring himself”.
The alarm was raised when the boy ran to his father for help, leading to a citizen’s arrest by an off-duty police officer.
He was extradited to Germany, where he was facing trial and later found guilty of the sadistic rape of a 72-year-old grandmother in Praia da Luz.
But his alleged victims are not only made up of children.
A court file reads: “On an undetermined day between December 28, 2000 and April 8, 2006, the defendant is said to have surprised an unknown woman, aged approximately between 70 and 80, in her holiday apartment on the Algarve.
“The masked defendant tied up the victim, raped her and then beat her with a whip. He recorded the event with a video camera.”
The court docs also detail the case of Irish woman Hazel Behan, who claims Christian B raped her in her apartment in Portugal on June 16, 2004.
“At around 3am, the defendant is said to have gained access to a young woman’s apartment via the balcony.
“The masked defendant then woke her up with a knife and raped her several times. He also whipped the injured party before he fled over the balcony. The defendant also videotaped parts of this act.”
Christian B has always denied the allegations made against him.
The newly-released court documents come after Madeleine McCann’s parents sent a message of hope that their daughter’s tragic case will “eventually yield results” on New Year’s Eve.
As “another year comes to a close”, Kate and Gerry McCann said the efforts to find Maddie will go on “with the same determination, commitment and vigour.”
The emotional statement came two months after Portuguese police officers travelled from Lisbon to London to apologise to Kate and Gerry for the way they handled their daughter’s disappearance.
When Maddie vanished, Portuguese cops had made them both “arguidos” – or suspects – and that status wasn’t lifted until 2008 – however the couple remained under suspicion in the country for years.
However, Portuguese detectives now consider Christian B to be the prime suspect.
Earlier this year police drew their focus to a lake in the search for Madeleine McCann.
However, German detectives later said there was “no compelling evidence” she is there.
Sniffer dogs and radar were used during the three-day search in June 2023 of Arade Dam reservoir, which Christian B reportedly referred to as his “little paradise”.
It is located around 30 miles from Praia da Luz, where Maddie was snatched.
Sources claim local cops received a tip-off that B had gone there a few days after Maddie went missing.
Police dug 2ft deep bore holes at the reservoir hoping, it is believed, to unearth fibres or clothing linked to Madeleine.
A Portuguese newspaper said “relevant information” was found and clothing remains, soil samples and pieces of plastic were taken away for analysis.
However, The Sun recently learned that detectives probing Christian B fear the investigation could collapse soon unless a fresh lead is found.
The revelation came just days after Christian B’s own lawyer told a BBC investigation the work of the German officers was on “shaky foundations”.
A source close to the investigation told The Sun: “The next few weeks are make or break for the detectives investigating Christian B.
“Publicly they are saying they remain convinced he is linked to Maddie’s disappearance, and that they will present evidence in due course.
“But, privately, the case is close to collapsing.
“There’s no new leads, and the primary witness they were relying on has totally gone offside.”
