Christopher Nolan is one of the most influential and successful filmmakers of the current era. He is truly a master at his work and he has delivered some iconic movies in the past three decades, and some of them will be classics for several years to come.
Nolan was hugely influenced by British filmmaker Ridley Scott and his works as a young kid, Nolan also had the privilege of having a father who was also a filmmaker, and all this influenced Nolan to get into making films from an early age.
Nolan started his career by making short films and made his official debut in 1998 with the movie “Following” which has an IMDB rating of 7.5.

Christopher Nolan Wants to Explore Horror Movie Genre!
Nolan tasted his first success in 2000 with the movie Memento which turned out to be a huge success and the stocks of Nolan rose overnight. Two years later, Nolan made “Insomnia” which again turned out to be successful and by this time Nolan became a notable name in the film industry.
In 2005, Nolan made Batman Begins and it turned out to be one of the most successful movies of that time this made Nolan an international sensation, and post that he made movies like The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises, Inception, Interstellar, Dunkirk and more which are one of the most successful movies till date.
Nolan’s movies have collectively made over $6 billion and his most recent work Oppenheimer is the front-runner for the Oscars this year.
Recently Variety has reported that Nolan is also open to making movies in the horror genre. Reportedly, Nolan was sitting at the British Film Institute panel and he was asked if he had any interest in making horror films, to which he replied with an enthusiastic yes.
However, Nolan also said that he believes horror films need to have an interesting story and he hasn’t found one, at least for now. He also talked about the tinch of horror that he has put into Oppenheimer and that is the kind of horror that he likes, the ones that are related to the subject matter.
