THE CIA has released a stirring campaign video to try and convince spies of Vladimir Putin to cross the tyrant and become double agents.

In a Hollywood thriller-style clip the US intelligence agency tried their hand at recruiting Putin’s top cronies to come and work for the West.

The video highlighted how the CIA sees Russia as being overrun by ‘corruption and nepotism’ from inside the country by the Kremlin leaders[/caption]

CIA Director William Burns has previously spoke about how Russian’s are becoming more frustrated with their president’s actions over the war in Ukraine.

Burns said this feeling within the Kremlin was creating a rare opportunity to recruit spies and the CIA would try all they can to turn some against their own.

The West are becoming increasingly wary of a potential war erupting out of Russia after Putin laid out a ten-step plan to bring the West to the brink of WW3 in a leaked military report.

The three minute CIA video was released across the group’s official social media channels and tries to appeal to Russians who feel betrayed by the greedy elites in the country.

As classical patriotic music plays behind a Russian voice over, the video’s main actor is labelled as a 35-year-old male who’s got strong ties with Russia’s military intelligence agency.

He says in the video: “Those around you may not want to hear the truth. But we do. You are not powerless.

“Do I have enough courage to confront this betrayal?”

The man then speaks about how the real enemy of the Russian people lives inside the country already, in the form of a corrupt leadership system.

The voice continues: “The top leadership has sold the country out for palaces and yachts at a time when our soldiers are chewing rotten potatoes and firing from prehistoric weapons.

“Corruption and nepotism are corroding my country from the inside.”

Harrowing clips of a sub-zero Russian winter pop up on screen as the man talks followed by images of fancy limousines and wealthy Russians giving out toasts with pricey champagne.

Before an inspiring speech kicks in talking about the world he wants his children to live in.

He says: “My son is the future of Russia. I want him to live in the Russia we dreamed of and in which honest work and courage are valued more than connections.

“My desire is to save Russia. I will be the spark of truth for my son’s sake.”

The video then ends with a final shot of the man talking to the CIA in a snowy courtyard seemingly agreeing to help out Washington.

Then the candles on a cake are blown out and the inspiring video fades to black as links to the CIA website come up.

A CIA official said the video has been a successful tool in persuading Russian spies to agree to the help the West and end the war.

They said: “We are seeing more outreach from Russians as a result of these videos.”

MI6 found similar success after Russian’s appalled by Putin’s slaughter in Ukraine started to sign up to spy for Britain

The boss of MI6, Sir Richard Moore, made the bombshell claims in a speech in the Czech capital Prague.

Russia’s response

However the “espionage” fuelled clips being released by the US has sparked fury inside the Kremlin as mad Vlad called on Russia’s FSB domestic security service to step up its work to counter the West’s campaigns.

The Kremlin has also rubbished any claims of corruption or greed from those in positions of power and dispelled the CIA video as fake rumours.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said: “You know, this practice is quite common, intelligence agencies around the world very often use the media and social networks to recruit new employees.

“And they do it all the time, the CIA does it every year.”

Peskov told the CIA they were wasting their time trying to recruit people through social media with the video as many sites like Facebook and X, formerly known as Twitter are banned in Russia.

He continued: “Somebody needs to tell the CIA that in our country VKontakte ( a Russian social network) is much more popular than the banned X. And that VKontakte’s audience is much larger.”

Could there be a WW3?

It’s been almost two years since Russian President Vladimir Putin launched a large-scale invasion of Ukraine and tensions between Russia and the West continue to rise.

While the exact death toll is unknown, officials claim Russia has lost more than 360,000 troops, while Ukraine has lost close to 70,000.

On top of that, estimates say that at least 10,000 civilians have been killed since Ukraine was invaded in February 2022.

Many fear the crisis in Ukraine could still develop into a wider armed conflict, with officials warning that further escalation could see the bloodiest conflict in Europe since WW2 if resulting in nuclear war.

And with reports of Putin’s health deteriorating, there are fears that he could turn to nuclear nuclerweapons out of desperation.

Ukraine has fought back courageously ever since and continued to defy the odds by defending itself against Russian onslaughts with the help of Western military aid.

In November 2022, WW3 tensions grew after it was reported that Russian-built missiles crossed into Poland, a Nato country.

Although the stray missile was likely fired by Ukraine as it defended its territory from a Russian onslaught, the incident marked the first time a Nato country has been hit during Russia’s war in Ukraine.

Just weeks ago Putin unleashed North Korean rockets in Ukraine, killing hundreds in an unprecedented development.

In the Middle East, Israel’s ongoing war with Palestinian terror group Hamas has widened the threat of Iran in recent months.

Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Lebanon have all been dragged into the conflict, as have the UK and US.

And Iran’s terror proxies – including Hezbollah and the Houthis – have already gone up against Israel, the US and UK.

But after Iran attacked targets inside Pakistan with bomb-carrying drones and rockets, fears of an all-out war in the Middle East have never been higher.
