Two members of the Christian community in Pakistan have filed a petition in the Peshawar High Court challenging the Constitutional provision that changed the process of filling minority seats in assemblies. They argue that the amendments made in 2002 are undemocratic and violate the preamble of the Constitution. The petition seeks to declare the amendments null and void and restore the previous election procedure. The federal government, Ministry of Law and Justice, and others have been named as respondents in the case.
