A COUPLE on their first date drowned after their car ended up in a freezing-cold lake in an Italian beauty spot.
Morgan Algeri and Tiziana Tozzo had joked outside the SUV before getting in and plunging it into the chilly waters of Lake Como in northern Italy.

He crashed through it plunged the rental car into the Italian lake on Saturday night.
Morgan and mum-of-one Tiziana, 45, tried to exit the vehicle to no avail.
Divers recovered their bodies at dawn on Sunday.
Tiziana, who leaves behind her 14-year-old son, had met her date through social media a month earlier.
Morgan, an experienced pilot and flight instructor from Brembate di Sotto, had recently broken up amicably with his ex-partner.
They remained on good terms.
Tiziana lived with her teenage son in nearby Cantù after divorcing his father and worked at a canned tuna production facility in Cermenate.
Morgan first met Tiziana at the romantic lakeside Villa Geno before having dinner at a restaurant in Capiago Intimiano.
Cops have been left baffled by their deaths.
Their mobile phones were retrieved, but there is no evidence of any argument prior to the crash.
Police are now following several lines of investigation, including human error, a health problem, and a mechanical failure in the car.
The SUV was hoisted from the 20-metre-deep lake on Sunday and seized for further analysis, but no anomalies have been detected so far.
The investigation continues.
It comes after a horrific road crash in Brazil left at least 24 dead.
Another six people were injured when the tourist coach crashed into a lorry as pictures reveal the total destruction of both vehicles.
The horrific smash happened around 10.30pm local time yesterday on the BR-324 road near to the municipality of Gaviao in the north-east Brazilian state of Bahia.
Twenty-one people on the passenger coach were killed, while three onboard the mango truck lost their lives.
Seven were men and 17 women, one of whom was pregnant.
The nationalities of those killed, and the cause of Sunday’s crash, has not yet been revealed.
