Cristiano Ronaldo and Binance Unveil New NFT Series ‘Forever Worldwide: The Road to Saudi Arabia’

In collaboration with cryptocurrency exchange Binance, Soccer icon Cristiano Ronaldo has launched a new NFT collection titled ‘Forever Worldwide: The Road to Saudi Arabia’. 

This collection chronicles pivotal locations from Ronaldo’s illustrious career, including Madeira, Lisbon, Manchester, Madrid, Turin, Saudi Arabia, and Portugal, encapsulating his journey from a young talent to a global sports phenomenon.

Initial NFT Release Features Madeira, Lisbon, and Manchester

The first series of NFTs was released on May 29, showcasing Ronaldo’s origins and early career through digital art created by artists connected to each location. Portuguese artists Katt Phatt and Rodrigo Doin captured the essence of Madeira and Lisbon respectively, where Ronaldo’s football journey began. Manchester artist John Sheehan also contributed artwork that reflects Ronaldo’s transformative years in English football.

Ronaldo expressed his enthusiasm for the project, noting the deep personal significance of each location featured in the NFTs. “Each place means a lot to me personally, and I’m excited for fans to experience my career’s key moments through this unique artwork,” he said.

Subsequent drops to highlight Madrid, Turin, and Saudi Arabia

Scheduled for June 6, the second release will focus on artwork representing Madrid, Turin, and Saudi Arabia. These pieces, crafted by Spanish artist Lisett Ledón, Italian artist Pasquale Garibaldi, and Saudi artist Shaker Kashgari, depict Ronaldo’s achievements and his impact in each respective football culture. The artworks not only celebrate his on-field success but also his influence off the pitch in these regions.

Sarah Dale, Binance’s Head of Brand Partnerships, highlighted the collection’s importance: “This NFT series not only celebrates Ronaldo’s football journey but also brings his fans along for the ride, from his humble beginnings to becoming a football legend.”

Exclusive Auction and Fan Engagement Opportunities

A unique aspect of this collection is the special auction of 7 SSR NFTs, designed by artist Mr. Dheo, focusing on Ronaldo’s contribution to Portuguese football. These will be available from June 14 to 18. Fans who collect all the NFTs from the second drop can win one of these SSR NFTs by participating in a quiz starting on June 11.

The NFTs are priced at $35 each, except for the limited SSR series. This initiative also introduces a ‘Collect to Earn’ system, where collectors can earn rewards ranging from vintage jerseys and football tickets to signed memorabilia and an exclusive video Q&A session with Ronaldo. Additionally, holders of the SSR Portugal NFTs will enjoy a unique experience including a trip to Riyadh, a football match ticket, and a personalized celebration moment with Ronaldo during the game.
