Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel considered the genocide committed by Israel in the Gaza Strip to be terrorist and aimed at humiliating all of humanity.
Cannell wrote on the “X” platform: “The genocide committed by the terrorist state of Israel in Gaza is a humiliation for all of humanity. How long will this impunity continue, and how long will there remain complete freedom to kill?”
He added: "Cuba will never be one of those who turn a blind eye to these crimes. It will continue to defend Palestine and the rights of the Palestinian people at the top of its voice."
It should be noted that the Cuban President is a staunch defender of the Palestinian people, and last month he marched at the forefront of the demonstrators who organized a march in support of Palestine in the Cuban capital, Havana, on Thursday.
Cannell's statements come as the Israeli military operation in the Gaza Strip continues for the 82nd day in a row, as Israeli forces continue to bomb cities and governorates north and south of the Strip, amid violent clashes and international fears of a worsening humanitarian catastrophe.

The administration of new Argentine President Javier Mele said on Tuesday that his government will not renew the contracts of more than 5,000 employees who were hired this year before he took office.
The president's administration explained, "This step is part of a comprehensive plan to reduce employment and devalue the currency announced by Javier Milli since he took office on December 10 to transform Argentina's faltering economy."
The authorities said that "the contracts of other government employees, who were appointed before 2023, will be reviewed." Milley also pledged to reduce government regulations and payrolls, and allow the privatization of state-run industries as a way to boost exports and investment.
The steps include devaluing the Argentine peso by 50%, reducing energy and transportation subsidies, and closing some government ministries.
More than a thousand demonstrators gathered in front of the presidential palace in the Argentine capital, Buenos Aires, to protest the policies and procedures of new President Javier Mele , 10 days after he took office.
Argentina also witnessed violent confrontations between police and demonstrators , in the first popular response to Javier Milli's decision to repeal 300 economic and social legislation in the country.
