Decentralized Forum SoMon Becomes Fastest-Growing Web3 Social App with 300K Transactions in 2 Weeks

SoMon, a decentralized Web3 forum, recently launched its app on Base and gained over 300,000 on-chain transactions within just 14 days of its launch. This remarkable growth has positioned it as the leading and rapidly expanding social app in the Web3 space.

SoMon, also known as Social Monster, allows users to generate income and establish communities (Tribes) centered around their interests, hobbies, content creators, and fan bases. This app is the pioneer in utilizing the OpenSocial Protocol, an infrastructure layer designed for creating social applications. It stands out as the first Web3 social app that operates without gas fees, making it more accessible to users outside the crypto community.

Since its mobile app was launched on 19 June 2024, approximately a month ago, it has attracted over 30,000 on-chain registrations in two weeks. Currently, the community is experiencing exponential growth, with more than 2 million social engagements across 300+ distinct Tribes (communities) and an impressive user base of over 80,000 individuals.

After the new feature was released on 17 July 2024, SoMon users eagerly began creating their Tribes using various tools and taking advantage of fragmented ownership made possible by NFT technology. Users generate content, and the platform generates revenue through a tool called ‘Megaphone’. This tool enables users to purchase promotional visibility, and the resulting revenue is then distributed among Tribe owners and stakeholders.

SoMon’s inaugural season will close on July 31, 2024. During this exciting season, users can compete for points and earn badges as they progress through various leagues. SoMon is set to launch its community token, $OwO, at the end of the season. The token will be airdropped to the community, with the first airdrop scheduled for August 1, 2024, releasing 3% of its total supply. Subsequent seasons will see a 1% airdrop of the token’s total supply.

SoMon is dedicated to activating the community economy through its Tribe Summer campaign, allowing users to create and engage with their bot-free community during the upcoming seasons.
