Pontianak - Deputy Minister of National Education Fajar emphasized the government's commitment to improving the welfare of teachers in the Disadvantaged, Frontier, and Outermost (3T) areas.
"The Ministry of Education and Culture ensures that teacher welfare is one of the government's top priorities, as mandated by President Prabowo. The government's commitment is very clear, teacher allowances will be provided through a gradual and sustainable program to ensure their welfare, especially in the 3T region," Fajar said during a visit to Sintang, West Kalimantan, Saturday.
He acknowledged that the main challenges in the 3T areas are the gap in infrastructure and budget support from local governments. To that end, he encouraged strong synergy between the central, provincial, and district governments so that education budget management runs optimally.
The presence of the Deputy Minister of National Education in Sintang Regency is real evidence of the government's commitment to the 3T regions.
