Celeb-chaser cop Beau Lamarre-Condon has since been charged with two counts of murder.

Lamarre, 28, handed himself in to cops shortly after 10.30am on Friday – two days after the bloodied clothes of the missing couple  were found in a skip bin in Sydney.

The investigation into the couple’s alleged murder has moved emphasis in the last 48 hours, news.com.au reported.

New South Wales Police divers are now scouring a small waterway in suburban Newcastle, some 100 miles away from the scene of the alleged murder.

On Saturday morning, a part of Lambton Street in Newcastle remained sealed off as two divers were seen on their hands and knees, examining a nearby stream.

Forensics teams were also seen carefully analysing every inch of the scene.

Police suspect Lamarre was in Newcastle on Thursday night before turning himself in at an eastern Sydney police station on Friday.

According to cops, Lamarre allegedly used his police gun to kill Mr Baird and Mr Davies at Mr Baird’s home in Paddington, Sydney, on Monday night before dumping their bodies.

Detective Superintendent Daniel Doherty told reporters Lamarre was on-duty at the time – but called into work sick on Tuesday after the alleged murders.

The detective said “a large amount of blood was located” at the crime scene – along with a bullet matching Lamarre’s work-issued gun.

“This has now been physically matched to a NSW Police firearm and forms part of the evidence for the alleged facts to face court for this 28-year-old man,” Mr Doherty said.

The detective also confirmed that a white Toyota HiAce was found on Friday morning in Grays Point in Sydney’s south.

He added that it is “important that we get the movements in relation to that van as hopefully we can find the bodies”.

“We believe there is sufficient evidence to proceed with those charges due to the evidence we have up-to-date,” Mr Doherty said.

“It’s really important that we do locate the bodies, not only for the cause of death but the answers for the family because they are still grieving and are starting to grieve now.”

On Saturday, friends and supporters transformed Mr Baird’s home into a temporary memorial, laying flowers and cards outside to show their support.

Some of the flowers were left on the street, while others were placed on the railings outside the terrace house.

One card left at the site says: “Lukey and Jesse.” Rest in peace, lads. We’ll miss you. “So much.”

The celeb chaser cop has been in the spotlight before – known for taking selfies with famous faces such as Taylor SwiftMiley Cyrus and Kim Kardashian.

Most recently, he was seen following Kourtney Kardashian’s car to grab a snap with her and Travis Barker.

FORMER LOVERS

Lamarre previously dated Mr Baird and cops have been told that their break-up was “bitter”.

Mr Baird reportedly expressed concerns for his safety and said he was being stalked.

Mr Doherty said there were “no warnings or flags to us in relation to his behaviour or any relationship breakdown”.

“Since this inquiry has come along and those investigations were made with family and friends, and it has been well documented that there were some worrying behaviours that have been alleged by family and friends but that was never reported to police,” he said.

Officers searched a home linked to Lamarre in the Balmain area of Sydney on Thursday night and seized a number of items.

DESPERATE SEARCH

The last time Mr Baird and Mr Davies were seen was on Monday in Paddington, cops said.

A frantic search for the pair has begun after police discovered bloodied clothes belonging to Mr Davies and Mr Bairds in a skip bin on Wednesday morning.

Phone, keys and credit cards were also among the possessions found in the skip bin – 18 miles away from Mr Baird’s home.

Police said they had “grave concerns” for the two men after the discovery.

Police searched Baird’s home in Paddington and found a “large amount of blood” and blood-stained furniture.

There were also “signs of a struggle” as furniture had been moved around.

The amount of blood has led the officers to believe that at least one of the men had suffered “a significant injury”.

Baird’s neighbours heard arguments on early Monday morning but didn’t report it until police began canvassing the scene two days later.

Mr Davies has not been at work since Monday and his family have not spoken to him since then.

Mr Baird’s phone was last active on Tuesday night when text messages were sent to his friends, the police confirmed.
