The world famous Trans-Siberian railway line engulfed in black smoke[/caption]Three wagons containing 17, 22 and 50 tonnes of oil were ablaze close to the world famous Trans-Siberian railway line.
Giant flames and pungent black smoke engulfed the scene, where emergency services continue to put out the blaze.
Ukrainian outlets have suggested the attack may have been sabotage.
Oil facilities have been a key target of both drone and sabotage strikes by Ukraine.
The attack comes after another blaze erupted in occupied Crimea, close to capital Simferopol.
Ukrainian Telegram channel Pravda Gerashchenko said: “In both cases, the authorities did not indicate the cause of the fires.
“Why would this be?”
The fire at Kombinatskaya railway station covered some 10,750 square feet and required 58 fire fighters to tame.
Local sources claim a “short circuit” was to blame, a phrase sometimes used as a euphemism for sabotage.
Russia has been forced to halt oil exports and even import from Belarus due to attacks on its facilities by Ukraine.
