Eco-Tory Councillor Forgets Own Anti-Campaigning Campaign

Local Tories in Sandwell are bemused at the antics of one of their eco-obsessed councillors. Councillor William Gill took it upon himself in June 2022 to launch a campaign to ban election posters because laminating them uses plastic:

“As a local authority we have an obligation to protect our planet which is why I’m calling on members to join me in banning political posters during election time on the basis that they have a significant environmental impact due to the usage of single-use plastics.
