Arvind Kejriwal gave this reply to ED's eighth summons
CM Arvind Kejriwal will not appear even on the eighth summons of ED in Delhi's liquor policy scam case . He has asked for time after March 12. He said that although this summons is illegal, still he is ready to answer.
Let us tell you that even before the eighth summons, CM Kejriwal did not appear before the ED on seven summons saying that this time was illegal. ED had issued summons for the eighth time and called Arvind Kejriwal for questioning on March 4. ED had summoned CM Kejriwal for the seventh time on 22 February. Aam Aadmi Party has also said that this kind of pressure is being put on us to leave the INDIA alliance, we will not leave it.
Next hearing in court on March 16
Earlier, Aam Aadmi Party had said that Arvind Kejriwal will not go to ED yet. This matter is in the court and wait for the court's decision. The party says that instead of sending summons daily, wait for the ED court's decision. During the last hearing, the court had given relief to Arvind Kejriwal from personal appearance in connection with the complaint filed by the central agency ED. In the application filed by Arvind Kejriwal's advocate, it was said that the budget session of Delhi Assembly will run from February 15 to the first week of March. It was said that he would personally appear before the court on the next date of hearing on March 16.
ED had rejected Arvind Kejriwal's argument
However, the Enforcement Directorate, while issuing the eighth summons, had rejected Arvind Kejriwal's argument that the new notice sent for his appearance was unfair, as the case was sub-judice in the local court.
