Eight men charged over gang-rape of Brit tourist, 18, in Magaluf after horror attack at party hotel sparked major probe

EIGHT men have been charged over the gang-rape of a Brit teenager in Magaluf.

The suspects, seven French nationals and a Swiss national, have been charged one year after the horror attack at a hotel on the Spanish island.

At least five of the men took turns to allegedly rape the victim while the other three are claimed to have sexually assaulted her, according to newspaper Diario de Mallorca.

The group stripped her naked, spat on her, insulted her, and whipped the victim, the paper claimed.

The suspects filmed the 30-minute attack on their phones, it is alleged, and posted it to social media.

The investigating judge found evidence pointing to one of the suspects filming 14 videos lasting 170 seconds, and another filming five videos lasting 142 seconds, according to Diario de Mallorca.

Other charges laid against the group include mistreatment and privacy crimes relating to the publication of the mobile phone videos.

The eight men are all being held on remand in prison in Majorca or on the Spanish mainland – and expected to remain behind bars until trial.

The Sun has previously spoken to the staff member who found the girl crying in the lobby of the BH Mallorca Hotel, only 400m from Magaluf‘s party strip.

He said: “I came in for the morning shift and found her downstairs, she was so upset.

“It was awful.”

The hero worker immediately alerted the cops who came within five minutes.
