Unfortunately, the Islamic world was not able to carry out its duty of brotherhood towards the Palestinian people to the fullest extent

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that “unfortunately, the Islamic world, with a population of about two billion people, was not able to carry out its duty of brotherhood towards the Palestinian people to the fullest extent.”

Erdogan said in his speech at a conference in Istanbul, today, Saturday, that "so far more than 32,000 Palestinians have been martyred and more than 72,000 have been injured as a result of Israeli attacks that directly target civilians."

He added: "The closest witness to Turkey's sincere struggle for the Palestinian cause are our Palestinian brothers in all their factions," noting that "the one who most supports the Palestinian cause as a state and a people at the highest levels is Turkey, without a doubt."

He continued: "Turkey is a country that talks to Hamas leaders about everything, clearly and easily, and stands strongly behind them."

The Turkish President stressed that his country will continue to do what is necessary to "hold Israeli officials accountable for the massacres committed in Gaza in accordance with international law."

He stressed that "Netanyahu and his government added their names alongside Hitler, Mussolini, and Stalin, considering them the Nazis of our time through the crimes against humanity they committed in Gaza."

Erdogan explained: We invested in our relations, which have recently developed with the Egyptian authorities, to deliver aid to Gaza.

He said: “40 thousand tons of total humanitarian aid that we have sent to the region (Gaza) so far via 19 aircraft and 7 civilian ships.”

He added: "Another aid ship belonging to the Turkish Red Crescent, with a capacity of 3,000 tons, will arrive in the Egyptian city of Al-Arish, tomorrow, Sunday."

The war in Gaza has entered its 155th day, as the Israeli army continues its intense bombardment, especially on Khan Yunis and Rafah in the south, while the tragic humanitarian conditions in the Strip are exacerbated by the lack of food and water.
