EU forced into embarrassing U-turn as court annuls £3bn aid granted to airline

Ryanair celebrated as the European Court of First Instance overturns approval for €3.4 billion state aid granted to KLM by the Netherlands during the Covid-19 pandemic. The court criticised the European Commission's "lax approach" to state aid during the crisis.
