FIND out if you have perfect 20/20 vision by spotting the sneaky beetle in this image before it eats all the leaves.
This viral brainteaser has left people scratching their heads trying to spot the perfectly camouflaged bug in under six seconds.
If you can see the beetle cheekily hidden away in a super quick time then you could be the world’s greatest bug catcher.
The amazing artwork shows a forest scene packed with leaves, flowers and sticks but there’s also a tiny little beetle somewhere in the picture.
Packed onto a beautiful green background, surrounded by pretty wildlife and colourful plants, you would never think there’s a beetle in there somewhere at first glance.
The image was created by cottage rental agency Sykes Holiday Cottages after they ran a recent survey of 2,000 adults about vacationing and wildlife in the UK.
The fascinating results of the survey found that the Cosnard’s net-winged beetle was the hardest species of bug to find in the wild so they created the brainteaser to test people’s sight.
So despite the scene looking pretty normal at first glance, once you find out there’s a very sneaky bug crawling around somewhere in the forest your eyes start to open up as the hunt begins.
But for a brainteaser that seems so easy the insect is nowhere to be seen and has left many baffled, calling the puzzle impossible.
The beetle cheekily blends in with the things around it and it’s hardly noticeable to those without the watchful eyes of a bug fanatic.
If you can solve this challenging optical illusion, you could make a brilliant beetle hunter with your eye for the creepy crawlies and clever problem-solving brain.
At an initial glance there is no chance a bug is crawling around alone among the leaves without anyone noticing it but the deeper you search the quicker it appears.
The bug is hidden deep within the photo and has been expertly placed meaning you’re bound to run out of time and never have the success of finding it all to yourself.
Studies have shown, people who regularly challenge themselves with optical illusions and puzzles see big improvements in their problem-solving skills, concentration and attention.
Psychologists at The University of Glasgow found that staring at an optical illusion can improve eye sight by allowing you to see small print.
And according to ZenBuisness: “These visual puzzles can give you a good mental workout that can, in turn, help you think more efficiently and solve problems more easily.”
In this particular piece, people with a high visual IQ should be able to spot it within seconds and leave themselves enough time to enjoy the rest of the image.
If you still can’t find the beetle here’s a big clue.
Beetles love hanging out on sticks as they blend in as they’re both brown.
