"The View" began it's Wednesday show blasting Donald Trump's Secretary of Defense nominee, Fox News host Pete Hegseth.
One key piece of the hearing that bothered former Donald Trump staffer Alyssa Farah Griffin, other than what she saw was his sexism, was that he didn't know basic things in government.
"I said from the outset that Pete Hegseth is unqualified on his moral character but also his experience," she said.

"I think Republicans made a really bad decision to lower the bar for what they expect from the Secretary of Defense," Farrah Griffin continued, recalling Gen. Jim Mattis, who was confirmed with a near-unanimous Senate vote.
"You may not have agreed on his position on Syria, and Democrats and Republicans voted for him as Trump's first Secretary of Defense.," she continued, specifically citing Hegseth's answer to basic foreign policy questions asked by Sen. Tammy Duckworth (D-IL)
Hegseth was asked if he knew what countries were in ASEAN, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. He didn't, naming off countries that weren't in the group.
"I have been to the ASEAN Summit. I can name the countries in it, and I am woefully unqualified to be the secretary of defense," she said to thunderous applause.
She "would have preferred" someone without moral failings, but she recognized that the country had just elected Donald Trump. At the very least, she said she wants someone "who can name the combat and commands. Where they are located, talk to the future naval fleet. Ask him [questions] for the job he's not prepared for."
When discussing Heghseth's opposition to women, Whoopi Goldberg said that she wants Hegseth to tell military women to their faces that they're not qualified.
