Jakarta - Obgyn Specialist Doctor at Permata Depok Hospital, Winda Nizarwan, advised unmarried women to get vaccinated against the human papilloma virus (HPV) which causes cervical cancer and a pap smear for those who are married to find out the picture and status of cervical health and prevent cervical cancer early.

"For women who have had sexual intercourse, a pap smear is mandatory. We must know the status of the cervical image," said Winda Nizarwan in a webinar monitored online in Jakarta, Friday.

Meanwhile, for early detection of cervical cancer for unmarried women, it is done through consultation to find out the complaints experienced such as signs in the form of blood spots, vaginal discharge, brownish blood spots or fresh red blood.
