'Feeling his own mortality': Trump body language expert spots 'rare' signs of panic

Fresh off of a conviction in his criminal hush money trial former President Donald Trump sat down Sunday for an interview with 'FOX & Friends Weekend' that saw him showcasing some serious anxiety, a body language expert says.

In what some suspect was heavily edited, Trump was sized up by the body language expert who — after nine years of analyzing the man — says this was only the second time he's witnessed Trump positioning his feet in such a way that screams lack of confidence and discomfort.

"In this interview, Donald Trump adopted a particular body language behavior that I've only seen him display one other time in the past 9 years (and I've analyzed him thousands of times)," reads a one of a series of tweets posted by Dr. Jack Brown, who previously analyzed Donald Trump's "neck of fear" and has been featured on CNN and ABC News, among others.

Trump's interview had him among other topics wax about his V.P. pick to moaning about the justice system and his one-time fixer and attorney Michael Cohen (who he didn't refer to by name citing a gag order.)

Through it all, Brown saw a man whose legs were pretzeled; giving off a weak demeanor.

"Donald Trump crossed his ankles when he was sitting," he wrote. "As stated above, for Trump this nonverbal display is extremely rare...Trump maintained this leg-foot configuration throughout the vast majority of this interview (although the camera was not always showing a wide-angle, so it's possible this was not quite as frequently displayed as the edited version implies)."

What does it mean?

The "ankle crossing/lower leg crossing" is not a "wise leg-foot posture to adopt during an interview."

This is because Brown believes it "both engenders – as well as a sign of – emotional discomfort and lower confidence."

Also, Trump's slouching his shoulders forward is "turtling" his neck that gives off more annoyance and insecurity.

The fact that Trump in the wider shots of the interview managed to keep his feet planted flat on the floor was also "extremely significant" because it goes against his previous behavior.

As for Trump's hands, Brown found that he broke from his "usual low steeple" to "covering his left (non-dominant) hand over his right (dominant) hand."

This for Brown spells a "variation of a seated fig leaf."

All told, the body tells that Trump is supposedly expressing to Brown are very bear about the future.

"Donald Trump's body language (coupled with his verbal language) indicates he has significant anxiety about not living long enough to serve a full second term," according to Brown. "Trump is feeling his own mortality – and it's showing."
