Fireworks and a different succession planned when Danish royals welcome a new king

Crown Prince Frederik will formally take the Danish throne from his mother on Sunday in a program that will include a small reception with guests, the new king addressing the crowd in Copenhagen, a cannon salute and a fireworks spectacular to honour Queen Margrethe.
