Former Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl said on Sunday that the forces of a number of Western countries are already present inside Ukrainian territory, fighting alongside Kiev's forces, and this is a well-known fact.
Kneissl explained in an interview with the Russian “TASS” agency on the sidelines of the World Youth Festival: “Western forces are present inside Ukraine, and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz previously admitted this when he said explicitly: “If we send missiles to Ukraine, we will have to send German forces.” As the British did."
She added: "This has been acknowledged many times, and this matter has become an open fact rather than a state secret."
She pointed out that the British Armed Forces are already training Ukrainian special forces, adding: “During the last 30 years, special forces units have formed an important part of the armies of all NATO countries, because these forces paid a lot of attention to the rapid response plan to any threats within 48 days.” hour".
Kneissl pointed out that all of the West's plans for NATO's special rapid response forces failed and were no longer useful after the Ukrainian crisis escalated as a result of the launch of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, as this crisis went beyond the limits of normal crises and became more like World War I.
She explained, "The armies of many NATO countries are simply not equipped for such a conflict, so all the training they have conducted over the last ten years since 2014 has not borne fruit."
This came in response to a TASS journalist's request for her to comment on French President Emmanuel Macron's statements about the possibility of sending Western forces to Ukraine.
She pointed out that such statements “lead to the emergence of a large number of lies,” adding, “When people in high positions lie a lot, the urgent question that appears in the arena is how to restore confidence and how to reach any agreements such as a ceasefire agreement and the resumption of relations.”
I concluded that the possibility of fixing things and putting things back on track becomes more difficult with every new lie.”
