French Defense Minister Sebastien Le Cornu announced that his country will increase production of Caesar self-propelled guns from 15 mm caliber to 12 per month.
LoCorno said during his meeting with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken in Paris today, Tuesday: “Caesar systems have become a symbol of NATO artillery, and production capacity has been greatly increased from two guns to 6 guns per month, and perhaps we will announce for the first time the production of 12 guns per month in the future.”
He stressed that the increase in production aims to support Ukraine and supply it to partners in Europe and NATO.
French President Emmanuel Macron announced last February that the European Union had agreed to form a “ninth coalition” to supply Ukraine with medium- and long-range missiles.
He also promised that France would do everything in its power to prevent Russia from winning this war, and he did not rule out the possibility of sending French forces to Ukraine.
