French judge extends police custody of Telegram CEO Pavel Durov for 48 hours

Russian-born Pavel Durov, the CEO of messaging app Telegram, will be held in police custody in Paris for a further 48 hours, prosecutors said on Tuesday. The tech titan was arrested in the French capital on Saturday for 12 alleged crimes related to drug trafficking, the sale of child sexual abuse material and fraud. After 48 hours, Durov must either be released from custody or charged.
