Fatah and Hamas agree to stop media exchanges and revive joint committees

The national dialogue session between the Palestinian movements Fatah and Hamas, which was held in the Chinese capital, Beijing, resulted in their agreement to stop “media exchanges” and revive joint committees to address any problems that arise between them, as well as to coordinate positions and efforts in the occupied West Bank.

Today, Tuesday, the Fatah and Hamas movements agreed to stop “media exchanges” and the necessity of reviving joint committees to address any problems that arise between them.

This came at the conclusion of a national dialogue session between the two movements, held in the Chinese capital, Beijing, according to the official Palestinian news agency, Wafa.

The two Palestinian movements stressed "the importance of coordinating their positions and efforts in the West Bank, including the occupied city of Jerusalem."

They also agreed on the importance of the unity of the Palestinian position regarding the aggression against the Gaza Strip, and stressed the importance of stopping the war of genocide and completely withdrawing the occupation army from the Gaza Strip.

The two movements stressed the priority of the prisoners' issue and the necessity of preserving their rights and supporting them in this difficult stage in which they are exposed to the worst types of torture and abuse inside prisons.

Since October 7, 2023, Israel has been waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip that has left tens of thousands of civilian victims, most of them children and women, in addition to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe and massive destruction of infrastructure, which led to Tel Aviv appearing before the International Court of Justice on charges of committing " Genocide".
