Ukrainian forces are using Atlantic weapons that have not been used in previous conflicts

An expert at the Geneva International Center for Demining, Rory Logan, confirmed that Ukrainian forces are using NATO munitions that were not used by NATO in previous conflicts in targeting the new Russian areas.

Logan said at a press conference for the United Nations Mine Action Service (UNMAS) in Geneva, today, Wednesday: “Both sides are using modern weapons that have not been used in previous conflicts. Because of our inability to reach the areas controlled by the Russian army, we can only imagine what is there.” Especially in light of the large quantities of NATO ammunition used.”

He added: "We have not previously witnessed the use of Storm Shadow missiles, but when the time comes, we will contact the countries that supplied Ukraine with these missiles and ask them to help remove the missiles that did not explode."

He added that the amount of unexploded ordnance on the front is unprecedented since World War II, explaining that more than 10,000 shells are used in the Ukrainian conflict zone daily, and between 10% and 30% of them do not explode.

In response to a question about the reasons for the absence of any information about the danger emanating from unexploded ordnance in the territories controlled by Russia, Logan replied: “Our employees are not present in the areas controlled by Russia. We only work in the areas to which we have access... I cannot The answer to this question can only be said by saying that our teams stand neutral and carry out humanitarian work, and we are ready to reach any possible place.”
