Germany: High turnout predicted for snap elections

German voters head to the polls on Sunday with the conservatives as the strong favorites after an intense campaign underscored by a far-right surge. Figures showed that around 52% of Germans have already voted by 2PM today. Turnout is usually high in Germany, as it was the case for previous elections.
